Easter is one of my favourite times of the year as its good weather, lots of family time, less pressure and stress than Christmas, great food and I just love the endless Easter craft possibilities and Easter themed gifts available!

With Easter comes a long weekend, lazy days and plenty of time with the people you love most. However it also includes the expectation of Easter gifts for kids. And, as much as we all love the chocolate treats, it’s nice to give them something that isn’t scoffed and forgotten about in two-seconds flat.
For my girls Poppy & Daisy, I love Easter gifts that are experiences or activities and gifts that take time to make or enjoy.
As a mum, I don’t just want to give the girls or friends sugary treats, or even worse, cheap plastic Easter toys that are played with, forgotten or broken before Easter has even finished.
So it’s important for me to create plastic-free and sugar-free Easter gift options for children that are not just chocolate eggs that come in giant plastic moulds. As there are often many gifts from parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends, that can add up to be a lot of chocolate and sugar consumed over the Easter weekend.
Obviously as an eco friendly kids gift business, our aim is to reduce plastic in landfill from children’s gifts and toys. Sadly Easter is a holiday and time of year that adds to lots of plastic waste as all those Easter eggs come in plastic moulds, small foil wrappers and they seem to have more packaging than they do chocolate! Yes they can often be recycled, but it’s more environmentally friendly not to have them in the first place.

Print these, grab a clip board, basket, some glue and a paintbrush and head on a nature hunt to find all the items inside each little egg. It’s egg-cellent fun for all ages. Even Daisy, my 11 year old love it!

Print these as many times as you’d like, then grab some glue, a paintbrush and a basket to collect your flowers and leaves in. Head outside into the garden or on a nature walk and collect as many different coloured flowers and leaves as you can. Then throw a blanket down and get creative with your nature finds.
You could also use our Flower Press Kit to press flowers ready to make your bunny faces with!
Using our butterfly or egg templates, cut out the shapes onto card board boxes. Then using a pencil push into the card to make a hole, making sure it comes out the other side. Collect flowers in all colours then push them through the holes to make beautiful floral patterns. So easy and fun, yet such an effective result!
Download our free printable template, draw it onto card, then follow the steps to attach it together into bunny ear headbands. Collect leaves and flowers and using glue or a stapler, attach them to make your own pretty floral patterns. These are fun to make first to wear whilst doing your other Easter Nature Crafts.
